The room service was fantastic, and we had great hospitality at Hablis. Last week, I held my Sangeeth and wedding function there. The terrace garden for the sangeeth was beautiful, and the wedding hall was really good too. The food was extremely delicious, and head chef Vinoth Khanna was very sweet. One of the best in Chennai.

We hadn’t planned to stay here, but the war in the middle east left us stuck. The staff were great and made the stay amazing. Raj at reception helped us with everything, and the chefs made amazing food for lunch and dinner every day. They really made our time great.

The breakfast buffet and crew were the best part of the stay. The staff were kind and polite, too. But the room itself was a letdown for the premium price. The first room had a broken bathroom, so we were moved, only to find damaged fittings in the replacement. The AC was extremely poor. We were told it was set to 22°C, and when we called for a supervisor, one of the AC operations guys slammed the door. The supervisor never came, and the room stayed hot all night. We had to run the ceiling fan at full speed to be comfortable. This place used to be good, but the maintenance and room standards need serious work. What we got felt third class and didn't justify the price.

They charge like a five-star hotel, but the facilities and amenities felt like one-star. The listing on MakeMyTrip said there was a gym and indoor amenities, and Google showed a swimming pool, but none of those were there when I arrived. I raised the issue with MMT, but they declined to help, saying the hotel wouldn't agree. It was a really bad experience. I felt misled, wouldn't plan another stay there, and would give it less than zero if I could.

The complimentary airport drop was a nice touch, though guests should be told about it beforehand. Food was awesome, and the front desk team made check-in and check-out easy with their friendly help. The location near the airport is handy. The rooms could use an upgrade.
