Searock Beach Resort

For one night they charge 3500, but the service doesn’t match. This isn’t a three star hotel, just a big building. There’s no hot water or T.V., and the landline wasn’t working, so I had to go to reception every time I needed service. The room and furniture were age old, with low light, and the staff weren’t helpful. It’s not suitable for a family. Don’t stay here when there are so many good, budget options at the beach. Very bad experience.

The hotel is right on the hawa beach, less than 10 meters from the beach, and it’s safe and child friendly. Its restaurant serves great Sea food. The rooms are average, as are the furnishings and furniture. Our room phone and door bell both didn’t work. The staff were very helpful, polite, and courteous.

The food department needs work. They should make it inhouse, because the service was pathetic and the behaviour was horrible, even when we asked for basic breakfast requirements. That aside, this hotel has the location anyone could ask for, with clean rooms, sea-facing balconies, and a very reasonable rate. Vishnu at the front desk deserves a mention: he was welcoming and friendly, always smiling. I’d visit for a 2 or 3 days stay.

The waves made a lovely soundtrack while we ate, and the sea view was the reason we chose this place. We tried butter naan, calamari, and fish and chips, and enjoyed everything. The calamari had a nice spicy kick, the fish was flaky, and the fresh lime soda was a favorite too.
