The staff were so impeccably friendly it felt like they'd known us for ages. The rooms were excellent, the service was great, and there was peace and greenery all around. We stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the South Indian breakfast, one of the best I've had recently. Scenic spots are close by too.

Our fourth-floor room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony and a view of the ocean and trees that made the elevator ride worthwhile. The mattress and pillows gave us a good night's sleep, and we loved the huge lawns. It's also very close to the beach. Service was exemplary, and for a beautiful budget hotel, it's a great choice.

The rooms were airy, very spacious, and super big, and every staff member was helpful and keen to meet our expectations. The place was a little hard to find in the bylanes of Kovalam, but once there, we found its location convenient. Famous Lighthouse Beach is a few minutes away on foot, and the main taxi and bus stands aren't far if you want to leave Kovalam. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Privacy and relaxation were the best parts of our two-night stay in the bamboo huts at Varkala. The staff at Vedanta wake up looked after the place well and were very hospitable, and breakfast was good too. It's well located for reaching Varkala's tourist spots easily. I'd stay again.

This is one of the best backpackers dorms I've stayed in, very close to lighthouse beach. The walk there is along tiny roads, and the beach is about 150-200 meters from the property. If you stay here, head up to the roof after sunset to watch the lighthouse beam in action.
