I stayed at 'Malabar inn' in March 2018, though I was confused by the name before writing this review. The room was spacious and had the basic facilities. Hot water wasn't available in the bathroom, though I didn't consider that essential in summer. It's a good location within walking distance of town. Breakfast was tasty and good. Their own restaurant was under maintenance, so I can't say how good it is.
It took me a lot of effort to find the place because the hotel name had changed to "Malabar Inn". The rooms, service, and food were all very poor quality, and the in-room AC wasn't working properly either. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
No WiFi or hot water, and I couldn't get breakfast because it only starts at 8:30 am. It almost felt like a way to avoid serving breakfast. The rooms were bad, and the health hose wasn't working. This place sucks, and I will never stay here again.
The rooms are good for the price, and service is great. Food was acceptable, though the bathroom ventilation is poor.
Whether it's Royal Kington or Malabar Inn, it's a business-class hotel, but the quality and service need improvement.
