Hotel Sasthapuri

The hallway smelled like piss, and the service was awful. We had two kids with us and asked for water, but nobody seemed to care. Our food was bad too: the fried rice was too oily, the chapathi was harder than rock 😂, and the chicken varuth aracha cury was more like chicken varuth karichaaa cury. A waste of money 😞. We waited almost 45 minutes just for the noodles, then another 30 for the fried rice and chapathi chicken varuth aracha cury. When I tried calling the staff, they refused to come. If they can’t provide proper service, they shouldn’t take orders.

I’d previously left a positive review on MMT, even after an unpleasant encounter with Mr. Madhu, the night receptionist. On my recent stay I dealt with him again, and his manner was just as disappointing. He spoke arrogantly and unprofessionally, with no basic courtesy or respect for guests. That kind of behavior undermines the property’s otherwise decent reputation, especially since it seems to continue unchecked. I’m giving it 0 stars this time because of this conduct. Guests deserve politeness and respect.

There’s a bar underneath, and the crowd and music can be a bit disturbing. Still, the location near palayam bus stand is great, and the rooms are decent for the money, even if they’re a little old.

The rooms were clean and good, and the staff had a really nice attitude. It’s also close to Kozhikode Bus Station.
