Kali Tibba Resort

The valley views from every room are beautiful and calming, and the rooms are clean, thoughtfully designed, with good taste. Bathrooms are spacious and spotless. The buffet breakfast has plenty to choose from and tastes great, and the weather is always pleasant. Do bring a light jacket for after sunset. The three canines are friendly and follow you everywhere. This place is truly in the middle of nowhere, so it suits people who like rustling trees, nature sounds, and the company of their partner and their own thoughts. The food is good too. Staff are amazing, housekeeping and room service are prompt, and the owners are always available to help plan your day around Chail, a 12 minute drive away. The wildlife and nature hike are highly recommended, and a temple visit is a must. Bring your own drinks and mixers; water, ice, and snacks are available. Don't expect ultra luxury, though I never really felt its absence. The last 900 meters can seem daunting at first, with plenty of braking and acceleration, but the destination is worth it. Once you've driven that stretch, it gets easier each time. What a wonderful place to be. I tried posting this review on goibibo, but it wouldn't let me. We'll be back for sure.

We loved our stay at Kali Tibba Resort. The valley views from our room were impeccable, with both sunrise and sunset to enjoy. The food was great and made to suit guests' requests and needs. The hosts made us feel at home, and the staff were courteous and helpful. Their lovely, extremely friendly pet dogs won us over too. They came along on our trek and showed us the way.

We visited in the first week of January, and that turned out to be a bonus: the night was wonderfully quiet, and the morning view was astonishing. The resort feels like a return to nature, with top-notch hospitality and great food. Gaurav and his family, who own the resort, were warm and gave personal attention, while the admin and housekeeping crew were responsive and helped on time. I'd love to come again, like my fellow guest from Mumbai who has been visiting for the last 5-6 years.

We should have booked more than one night; that was our mistake. Our other stay was at Palace Hotel, which cost more but fell short on every count. Here, the location is great and the atmosphere friendly. Rooms are compact but well fitted, and the food is excellent, prepared to each guest's specifications. The staff were the real highlight, very polite and wonderful, always willing to go out of their way to make us comfortable and take care of our needs. All in all, a wonderful experience.
