Shimla Ayurvedic Retreat by Treebo

The staff were rude and unhelpful, and even a dental kit didn't turn up after several requests. They charged separately for some essentials, while breakfast barely had any choices and no fruit or milk. The geyser didn't work, the bed was extremely hard, and the locks were damaged. There was no heater or bonfire either. For the money, this was a very poor stay, despite it being part of the Treebo group. I wouldn't recommend it.

We spent 1-2 hours trying to sort things out, but the receptionist and the person on the phone kept giving us different rates and explanations. We had a 1 year old baby with us and were completely confused about what was going on. In the end, we left and drove on to Shimla to find another hotel. They misled us and left us feeling we had no choice but to book somewhere else. I'm a travel agent, and this is one property I won't recommend. Over the phone, we were quoted around 5000 for 3 rooms. At the hotel, the front desk said the prices were different and told us to call again, saying it had been taken over by Treebo but wasn't Treebo's. While we were looking at rooms and trying to finalize by phone, they said the same price applied only to lower-category rooms, and that no rooms had balconies. We were standing in a room that had a balcony, but they flatly denied it. Worst experience. Never going back.

The view was excellent, and breakfast was delicious. We had a really great stay, with helpful staff who welcomed us with smiles and brought us whatever we needed. The manager was very humble, and everyone was kind. The food was scrumptious too. It's a good price, and we'll definitely stay here again when we come back. Thanks and regards, Tarsem Singh.

The staff were rude, and when we asked about the misleading photos online, they argued and said, “Why did you book online? You should have booked directly here.” They pushed us to pay extra or take another room. We took it, but no one even stayed in that room. The towels were dirty, there was no soap or shampoo, and breakfast wasn't what the online listing said it would be. We arrived with kids after booking based on photos that showed clean, well-kept rooms. In reality, our room and bathroom were dirty and nothing like the pictures. It was a very bad, disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
