Purple Resort

A horrible stay. We booked two rooms for our family, but the beds had cockroaches and hadn’t been cleaned. The AC didn’t work, and they couldn’t even provide a decent bed for my daughter, who is around two. None of the staff responded to us. Don’t book here.

The staff were polite and ready to help, and the property felt private and soothing. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and spacious, with interiors that gave them a cozy resort feel. Purple Resort in Pondicherry is a lovely place to get away from city noise, with calm surroundings that are well maintained.

Our holiday at Paradise Purple Resort, Pondicherry was ruined, and the money felt completely wasted. I travel often for work and have never had such a bad experience. Even after we argued with management and staff, nobody resolved anything. They seemed practiced at ignoring complaints. I strongly recommend avoiding this resort. We arrived with family at noon after confirming the booking, but our rooms weren’t ready. We waited over an hour, and the extra beds still weren’t arranged. Around 11 PM, they finally brought only a mattress, with no blanket. We followed up through the night and never got one, so we lost our sleep. At check-in, the rooms also had no towels, dustbins, or basic amenities. The next morning we wanted to see the sunrise at the beach, but the parking setup blocked all the cars. We had to wait more than two hours for the way to be cleared and pay extra for auto fares. Reception and management were unresponsive to even basic needs. Breakfast was a mess: the tables weren’t clean and the dining area looked like a roadside shop. Staff treated guests badly and told us no more food would be provided, even though we had children with us. That was highly unprofessional and unacceptable. The food and hospitality were very poor throughout.

Completely a waste of money. The reception team were good, and so were the technician and maintenance staff. But there were no bath towels. The AC wasn’t working until a technician fixed it, though its remote still didn’t work. The TV remote was broken too. Water had been pooling because the bathroom drain didn’t work, though maintenance later fixed that. At 7:30 AM, there still wasn’t any water in our bathroom or toilet. Aren’t these basic things a hotel should provide?
