The early boat ride at sunrise was easily one of the best parts of our trip. We went through the backwaters with the host, who pointed out local birds along the way. The water views from the balconies are lovely too, and they’re a nice spot to sit with a coffee and watch things drift by. We also found a lot of practical touches: dependable WiFi, plenty of drinking water, and complimentary bicycles for exploring the canals and rice fields. The rooms were bright, spotless, and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were generous and delicious, and meals can be shared with other guests if you like, which made for some lovely conversations. Mango Kerala Homes feels like a peaceful little corner in Kumarakom. The hosts made us feel welcome right away, and the whole place made it easy to slow down. It’s more than somewhere to sleep, and I’d gladly recommend it.

The homemade food was our favorite, especially dinner, which I’d definitely recommend having there. The family was so kind and welcoming, happy to chat, help set up activities, and share useful advice about the area. We loved our three nights at Mango Kerala Homes. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and the balcony views were beautiful for relaxing in the evening. The local tours they arrange are also a great way to support the community. Nothing negative to say, highly recommended.

Divya and Dileep are such kind hosts, and did so much to make sure we were comfortable and having fun. We loved meeting their daughters too, Kattu is so cute, and Meenakshi is so welcoming and sweet. The sunrise boat tour was one of the best experiences of our trip, maybe our lives! The river views from the balcony were jaw-dropping, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The home is gorgeous, with granite floors, and we had a great time kayaking. Staying with this generous, warm, fun and joyful family felt like a privilege. Everything was wonderful, and it felt authentic.

We were so pleased with our stay. The host was always smiling, kind, and ready to help, and kept offering us tea or coffee in a way that made us feel at home. The food was delicious, the place was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by a free room upgrade with a beautiful water view. A boat for canal tours leaves right in front of the house, so exploring was very easy. The bird sanctuary is currently closed, but we still spotted lots of different birds on our boat trip.

We loved our two days at Mango Homes. The sunset boat ride from the property was beautiful, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. The hosts were welcoming and pleasant, and the rooms were very clean, neat, and well cared for. A peaceful, pleasant place to stay, highly recommended.
