Saro Lake County Hotel

The food was amazing, and the rooms and toilets were kept clean. There are beautiful sit-outs, and the place sits right by the lagoon next to the backwater. Our stay was peaceful and pleasant. Mr.Ananthu and the other staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. I enjoyed being here and would happily come back.

It felt more like being at home than staying in a resort, and the team did a great job. Our family outing was unforgettable, with a wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, quality service and a professional team. What a lifelong experience. Keep it up!

We finished our Kerala trip at Saro Lake County in Kumarakom. It’s a nice resort near the lake, with a garden where you can relax and watch the water, squirrels, birds and even a chameleon. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Getting there by car can be tricky, and it’s easy to lose your way, so ask locals if needed. From the main road, it takes about three minutes to reach the resort. The hotel food is very expensive, and there aren’t many restaurants nearby. We walked out to the main road looking for vegetarian food and were lucky to find one place. We had breakfast at the hotel the next morning, and everyone liked it. The tea was the best we had on the whole tour. You can also visit the Bird Sanctuary, ideally early in the morning.

We booked despite having plenty of doubts, and it turned out to be worth it. The place is calm and cosy, just right for relaxing, on the banks of vembanad lake with sunset views over the lake and mangroves. The manager was very polite, and the food was delicious. We tried our luck fishing and caught a few. We enjoyed every moment here.
