There’s no food service here, so if you’re arriving with kids or an older person, sort out meals before you get there. You can find hotels just a few meters away once you step outside. The place is in a prime spot, the room was clean and neat, and the service person was helpful. Prices are affordable and feel worth it. It's a good place for families. Parking fits only a few cars and is first come, first served, but parking outside is safe too. I parked outside over a long weekend.

For a reasonable price, Ananda residency gives you a decent, clean room, and the rates are lower than at other hotels. The location is average. There’s space for four cars, but getting out can be hard if you park at the back. No restaurant, room service, or kettle and coffee tray. The owner controls the geyser and AC, but they switch them on when called. They could improve that. If you want a safe, clean room at a fair price, this place is an option.

Parking was the one small drawback. We booked a family suite, and it had enough room for three adults and two kids to stay comfortably. It was a very good experience overall.

I booked six rooms for relatives attending a marriage in Swamimalai. The rooms were okay for an economical budget, but there’s no restaurant, so we had to go elsewhere for lunch. That was really hard after traveling by train. Reception wasn't okay either. Dinner options are near the temples in a busy area. The hotel is close to the bus stand and railway station. If you want a more lively stay with a big car park and restaurants, try a higher budget hotel in Kumbakonam. For a medium budget, this one is okay, just don't expect too much. Thanks.
