Lilac Kumbakonam

I’ve travelled across the country, and this was one of my best meal experiences. The Kesar restaurant is like no other. Breakfast has just the right amount of choices, each done to perfection. The koozh, ragi toast and ghee podi dosa are unmissable. The lunch thali is top notch for its variety, quality and quantity. I still think about the paruppu podi, paavakai peratal and jevvarisi payasam, and the phulkas were so soft and fluffy. Kadhai paneer and dal tadka were really good too. Chandru, Vijay, Gopinath and Chef Santhosh took such good care of us. The rooms and service were excellent, and the atmosphere was amazing. The infrastructure, pillow menu and extra bed setup were impressive. They quickly handled all our extra requests, and I appreciated how hard they worked to keep the room and common areas so clean. Would love to visit again!

The Kesar restaurant made our stay special. The vegetarian food was so delicious, thanks to the chefs, and the staff took wonderful care of our little girl. Dining and laundry were reasonably priced. Even with the hotel full, people like Gopinath, Karuna, Silamban, Prabhakaran, Prabha and Chandru made us feel welcome. Our room was clean and spacious, with thoughtful extras in a little bag, a vial of coconut oil, safety pins and bobby pins. The admin and reception, housekeeping, and restaurant teams were especially hospitable and accommodating, making this a memorable family trip to Lilac Kumbakonum. Thank you very much 🙏🏾

Check-in went well, with polite and helpful reception staff. The rooms were clean and tidy. Special thanks to S. Surya from housekeeping for helping set up an extra bed and being supportive with other cleaning and room requests. I appreciated the quick assistance and hospitality.

We had a very nice experience at Lilac hotel Kumbhkonam, and have decided to visit and stay for a couple of days again in future. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and had all amenities. The restaurant “ Kesar” was nicely decorated, with polite, well dressed staff. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and beautifully presented. From the start, booking through the website was smooth. The hotel administration stayed in touch until check-in and responded positively and immediately when we needed a slight change in dates. They also asked about our cuisine preferences and suggested an authentic guide, Mr. Moothy, with contact details for exploring temples and other sites. The campus was highly impressive, and we were welcomed warmly at the hotel.
