Kunwar Palace

I somehow made it to this hotel even though I’m from Gorakhpur. I booked through oyo, where it was listed as Super hotel O centrum. The staff seemed untrained in how to deal with customers or prepare for check-in. In the room there was no towel or toilet soap, just the fixed items. The TV was there but couldn’t be used because it had no recharge. Food took 45 minutes because they arranged it from another restaurant run by the same group. It came in a polythene bag without a plate, spoon, or tissue. When I asked, they brought a plate and spoon, but no tissue, so we got some from a street food seller. When I asked again, the receptionist said I wasn’t staying in a 5 star hotel and told me to clean my plate with the towel we use for our bodies. They also warned me not to keep coming back. They hadn’t provided a room key either, until I asked for one. It’s run unprofessionally, and the employees seemed unskilled in their roles. Things could be better if staff focused on the basics at check-in and when serving food.
