The room was spacious and the hotel sits on the highway. Those were the only positives for us. For three people we paid 4.5k per night, which felt far too high; it shouldn’t be more than 2k. The food and service were bad, the place wasn’t clean, and neither the geyser nor the AC worked well.

The location was good for the wedding I attended, but the place could have been maintained much better.

It’s right on the highway and close to several temples, which are the good points. The rooms had no upkeep, there was no intercom to reach reception, no broadband or OTT connection, and no lunch or dinner. At over 4k, the price felt like a kick in the back. The online rating looked so good that I felt scammed by those reviewers.

There’s plenty of car parking, and it seems a good place for families staying in Kumbakkonam. We spent a day here last week and had a very good time. The resort was well kept, and my kids especially loved the swimming pool. We also saw peacocks and peahens, including a peacock dancing, and were surprised to find a camel there too. Our room’s upkeep was a weaker point. I’d give it 3.5 out of 5, with more attention needed to cleanliness. The food was good, and the chef, the other caretakers, and Manager Rajesh were all very nice. Rajesh was courteous and polite with us.
