Ras Residency

We had a really bad stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or return. We booked two rooms for five adults. Both were dusty and dirty. In one room the AC stopped working around 4 am, and they couldn’t fix it before we checked out at 9 am. It’s summer, so the room was unbearably hot. The electricity tripped repeatedly during our stay. They supplied an extra mattress but initially said there were no spare pillows because the rooms were fully booked. After I asked reception, they provided one. The breakfast area was very dirty, with rubbish, dust, and uncleared tables; choices were limited too. At 5 am, it was very noisy as they moved things in and out of the hotel. A sensor problem locked the room door in the morning, and we waited a long time for it to be opened. The hotel gives priority to events over guests staying there. This deserves two stars, not even three.

The rooms are good, and the location is still okay. Service was okay too, and the laundry price was very reasonable. Breakfast needs work, though, as there weren’t many choices.

Only the ambience looked nice. The room TV had no signal for the entire stay, and breakfast was a disaster: most tables were dirty, items weren’t replenished, and there were no serving plates. Staff didn’t clean up the mess until we asked for the duty manager.

The room was cramped and smelled bad, and the extra bed we had paid for never showed up. I told reception as soon as we checked in and gave them the Aadhaar details they asked for. They said they'd arrange it, but nothing changed, and the person in the room hadn't even been told we'd paid for the bed. When I asked for the money back, they wanted to deduct part of it despite the mistake being theirs. I eventually gave up arguing because the whole thing was stressful and disappointing, especially in the morning. Poor service and very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
