Wild Saga Thekkady

I tried food from Wild Saga and found every dish delicious, with rich flavors and just the right seasoning. The ingredients tasted fresh and high quality, and the meal was satisfying enough to leave me happy and content. The presentation was appealing too, so the whole meal felt worth it. I’d recommend it if you want tasty, filling food, and I’ll order again.

The location is convenient, and both the rooms and bathrooms were neat and clean. We chose a non-AC room because the nights are cool and air conditioning didn’t seem necessary in this climate. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though they feel a bit outdated. The curtains are a real concern: they don’t give enough privacy, especially at the sides, where people walking by can see in. Room upkeep and privacy need improvement. Also, food would be better included in a package, since the restaurant downstairs is quite expensive otherwise. A decent stay for space and cleanliness, but it could be much better.

For this budget, the room was amazing, especially room 205. It felt best in class among three-star hotels. The bed was very comfortable, the toilet was clean, and the location was perfect. The in-house restaurant was good too.

I stayed a few days ago, and it was really bad. There was a dead rat in my room, and the whole place had a weird smell. Replying to the owner: There really was a dead rat. I don't care enough about your place to lie, and this is a warning to anyone planning to book here. The rooms aren’t planned well and smell bad. The lobby and elevator smelled as if they’d never been cleaned. The curtains offer little to no privacy and don’t block the light. The staff did their best with the limited resources they had. There’s no view from the windows; they open onto a lobby where anyone can look into your room. The new rooms I was moved to smelled bad because of smoke from the shop just below them. And I don’t know when rats started being called insects. I wasn’t going to complain to Make my trip, but now I feel compelled to.
