Soans Comforts By OYO Rooms

The rooms are simple but decent, and the place is right in the heart of Kushalnagar. Parking was available on the main road and behind the lodging. Service after 11pm was slow or nonexistent. I was very satisfied with the stay overall.

We booked four rooms in Coorg through Oyo, and they confirmed our stay at a hotel called manjunda palace, even telling us two days beforehand that everything was set. But when we arrived at night, we found the hotel had been banned and sealed by the bank about three weeks earlier. I called Oyo customer support. After a while, they said they’d connect me to a senior manager. I’m a Malayali, so they may have assumed I didn’t know Hindi. They put me through to a man speaking Hindi and claimed he was the manager. He told me he’d also been told he was being connected to the manager. They tricked both of us. Please avoid using OYO in India.

The room was clean, but there were no towels or bath kit. Even though the lodge is on the main road, it was hard to spot because of the other shops in the complex.

The service was good, and being in the city centre is a plus. But the place wasn’t very clean and didn’t feel worth the money.
