The room and bathroom were filthy, and the bedding was dirty and mismatched in color. After some effort, we got new sheets and a pillow cover. There were footprints all over the bathroom, and the water kettle and glass were unclean and had been used by other guests. No towels or dental kits were provided. When we asked for towels, a staff member got annoyed and said, “We don’t have it, from where should I give”. The people and place were irresponsible and absolutely annoying. The worst experience of a lifetime.

I was coming from Gangtok and stayed here for a night, with dinner included. The dinner was warm and delicious, with both veg and non veg options, though they serve rice only and no chapatti. The rooms were very clean, the staff responsive and polite, and the view from the room was amazing. It’s a great hotel in Lachen, do visit if you’re coming here.

We stopped for 1 day on 8.5.25. The room was very small, just basic, and better options are definitely available for the same price. The best thing was Dichen’s service and attitude. Dichen also cooks delicious food.

The hotel staff were polite and cordial, and dinner was just like home food. I reached Lachen at 7:30 pm in March’25 after an 8 hrs journey from gangtok, as the cabs had taken a longer route. I was amazed by the view from the room window the next morning. It was pleasant and soothing, with a bit of chilly wind. My experience at the hotel was excellent.
