Crown Himalaya Hotel

The hotel is in a quiet, somewhat isolated spot on the way to Kardungla, like a gateway into Leh. I liked getting away from the city noise, and would recommend it if you enjoy that kind of quiet. I stayed one night on my last trip to Leh. My room was huge, with a wardrobe, work table, TV, and luggage racks. The bathroom was spacious enough, hygienic, and had basic toiletries. Hot water was available throughout the day, the bed was comfortable, and I slept well. Service was professional but down to earth. When the manager learned I was from Bangalore, he tried speaking Kannada, drawing on his past experience in Mysore. That small gesture meant a lot. The restaurant staff, front desk managers, and housekeeping were all humble and on point. The ground-floor restaurant served good food in adequate portions; I had breakfast and dinner there. There’s an outdoor lawn-like seating area by reception, and lounge spaces on both the ground and first floors, also suitable for high tea or reading. Parking behind the hotel was decent, and they accept UPI and cards.
