The Main market is a 5-10 minute walk away, though be a bit careful of dogs in the area when walking back at night. The hotel is well planned, with spacious rooms and elegant interiors, plus all the facilities you’d hope for at that altitude. The dining area is roomy, the staff are friendly and eager to make your stay memorable, and the food is excellent with a very good choice at every meal. Essence at Ladakh is a beautiful boutique hotel, and worth the price 👍

We spent 12 nights in Ladakh, traveling all around, and returned to this same hotel three times as we connected to other destinations. The staff were always available, friendly, and helpful. Rooms were very clean, and both breakfast and other food were amazing. Would definitely recommend it!

Our stay at Essence At Ladakh was peaceful and rejuvenating, and I can’t recommend it enough. My seven-year-old became sick during the visit, and the staff took extra care of us. Their kindness and support meant a lot. The hotel has striking architecture and beautiful interiors that make for an inviting atmosphere. The rooms are cozy, thoughtfully designed, and well-appointed, a comfortable place to unwind after exploring. Every staff member I met, from reception to housekeeping, was fantastic and went out of their way to make the stay feel perfect. The meals were delicious, with plenty of options. A wonderful getaway.
