Hotel Malik Residency felt like home because Adil bhai and the staff were so warm and helpful from the moment I arrived. I felt safe and looked after, and the team made the stay really memorable. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a spectacular view. It’s a peaceful spot surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery, even though it’s right in the heart of Leh, just a two-minute walk from the market. You can see shanti stupa from the room too. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for that home-away-from-home feeling.

When our flight was cancelled and the replacement was to Srinagar, Mr Aadil simply offered to take care of our cab. That set the tone for our stay at Hotel Malik Residency, after we’d found it on bookings.com and spoken with co-owner Mr Shafiq, who blocked our booking. We’d planned this overdue vacation for March 2026 to be stress-free, with someone handling the little details, and the team really did that. We arrived at midnight, freezing, and the staff quickly carried our bags and got us to a warm room. In the morning they welcomed us with a cup of kehwa. The rooms had amazing views of snowy mountains, shanti stupa, and the Leh Palace. It’s about a three-minute walk to the main market, with cute cafes along the way. The hotel also serves amazing food. Aadil bhai invited us to lunch, and we absolutely devoured it. We spent 8 nights there. Shakeer, Khalid, Sahil, and two other staff members whose names I’ve forgotten were all warm and hospitable. By the end, we felt like family. They can also help arrange rental bikes, inner line permits, and rental cabs, as well as your stay. If I return to Leh, this is where I’ll stay.

The staff were polite, but my stay at Malik Residency in Leh was disappointing. The room wasn’t kept well: it had no cupboard doors and wasn’t clean. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, and there was no soap or shampoo. The food was underwhelming too. They serve dessert on vegetarian days but not on non-vegetarian days, which is an odd system. Honestly, they need a proper chef. The food felt like it was made by people who know hotel management but not cooking. The place needs serious improvement, and I hope they improve the facilities.
