Dev, the manager, was professional and spoke English very well. Another staff member from MP was courteous, polite, and helpful. Their hospitality made my three-day stay pleasant, even though there were several problems. The TV never worked, and hot water would run for only a few seconds before stopping, which was inconvenient in Leh’s cold weather. My room also didn’t match the MakeMyTrip listing photos. The hotel is at a higher altitude and quite far from Leh main market, so personal transport is almost necessary. Prices weren’t as listed: tea shown at ₹30 cost ₹60, and fried rice was billed at a different amount than its listed ₹150. I’d confirm prices before ordering. The staff made a good impression, but maintenance, listing accuracy, and price transparency need attention.

The room was spacious, with a balcony and terrace, and the staff were great. I liked the location too. I’m very intolerant to cold, so without a room heater and hot water I would’ve stayed longer. In the warmer months, June or July, this would be a great place for me.

The scenery is hard to forget, with snow-covered peaks in the distance and a mountain stream beside the property. Every room has stunning views, and the staff are warm, smiling, and always ready to help. The food was delicious, too. Some areas could use more maintenance, but the friendly team and surroundings made up for that. It’s a peaceful getaway, though quite far from everything, so plan your transport. Calling a cab to the hotel can be quite a rip-off in terms of cost.

The room had a good view and the property and location are good. But service and hospitality were the worst parts of my stay, and the food was below average. Room service didn’t respond properly, and hygiene and cleanliness were concerns. A very poor experience overall.

Our family had a peaceful, comfortable stay at Mantra Hotel, Yourthung Leh, with lovely mountain views from the spacious, clean, well-kept rooms. The staff were attentive, courteous, and ready to help, and the food offered a tasty mix of local and Indian dishes. From our warm welcome onward, the hospitality made the stay memorable.
