The hotel is about 1 km from the main market, but the terrace gives you a 360-degree view. Room service was awesome, the staff were super polite and just a phone call away, and the food quality was good. A special mention for Mr Teshi’s Pashmina shop, with very good quality at a low price.

The front desk staff were terrific, and the service was extremely helpful. At Maitreya, the local team knows the area and nothing seems like too much trouble. The rooms are enormous, there’s steaming hot water, and the kitchen can cater to your needs. If you find yourself in Leh Ladach, check them out!

Mr. Guruji hosted us really well, and we learned that he’s also a meditation teacher. He has a very calm, cool personality. We had a good stay and the staff service was good too.
