The rooms with balconies have lovely evening views, with the soothing sight and sound of the water jarna. It’s also a great place for photos and videos, especially for social media, thanks to the authentic heritage look. The grand façade and detailed architecture give it a regal feel from the moment you arrive. Valet parking makes entry easy, and the traditional tilak and welcome drink add a thoughtful ceremonial touch. Booking breakfast ahead means a pleasant start to the day in the sunlight, surrounded by the iconic, peaceful setting.

The room was spotless and had everything I needed, and the staff were really friendly, especially at the front desk. The location and service are great. Only small issue for me was that the pillows felt too firm. I’d recommend it.

The food was excellent and the place was clean, but those were the only positives for me. I visited during an extreme cold spell in Rajkot, and they had no room heater. There was no hot water either. You have to ask for a bucket, and it takes 20 to 25 minutes. The toilet seat is so low you hit the tissue stand when sitting, and the flush is almost at floor level, so pushing it feels like a workout.
