Basilica Holiday Home

Basilica was a great hotel, with amazing food and excellent hygiene. It was well maintained, and the warm indoor pool was excellent too. The hospitality and cleanliness were both great. 💐

Basilica was a pleasant place for our two-night stay during the monsoon. It’s peaceful and away from the town’s bustle, with narrow but car-accessible roads and more than enough parking. Room service was quick, and the tea snacks we ordered arrived on time. Our corner room had enough space for three and two windows with a pleasant view. It had basic amenities, though mosquito nets on the windows would’ve helped. The bathroom was decent, but the shower was awful. At a reasonable price, it’s a decent hotel in a quiet location.

We found the prices very reasonable for the quality of service and amenities, and the food was fresh and delicious, served with great hospitality. The staff were courteous, cooperative and ready to help. The peaceful, well-kept atmosphere is lovely, and the facilities are well equipped for business meetings, seminars and training sessions. It also seems well suited to focus and collaboration, as well as a leisurely stay. Basilica Resort comes recommended for both work gatherings and a break.

Basilica Holiday Home is close to Lonavala Lake and has decent parking, a pool, and mini halls for meetings. There are many rooms, so it could work for groups or family occasions, and it’s budget-friendly. But the stay felt neglected and just average. The bed was hard, the sheets were torn, and the dim yellow lighting made the room feel dull. There was no kettle, and the telephone wasn’t working, so it was hard to request service. Although there was a menu in the room, nothing was available when I tried to order, for either lunch or breakfast. They only served bread, butter and jam. It may suit a tight budget or group event, but comfort, service and food quality fell short.
