The Metropole

We ended up staying longer than planned because we felt at home so quickly, even though we were abroad. The hotel is right in the center of Lonavala, with shops, an ATM, cafés, and restaurants all a short walk away. Everything was explicitly clean, from the well equipped rooms and delightful mattress to the two perfectly maintained pools. The food was excellent, and the staff, including the front desk, were warm, friendly, and helpful. Thank you all for making our stay so enjoyable!

The restaurant food was really tasty, room service worked well even at odd hours, and the pool was well maintained. The service deserves appreciation, including how quickly the technician responded when problems came up. On our last night, rodents were in the AC duct area, so we had to move rooms at 1 am. The next day, the shower glass door got stuck while my son was bathing, but the serviceman arrived quickly and sorted it out. Please clean the cobwebs around the door hinges and dust on the window grill. Thank you.

We were there in the third week of May 2026. The rooms were satisfactory, but the breakfast was the biggest letdown: just 3-4 items, often not enough, so we kept having to ask for refills. The hotel gave us rooms in the same building as reception. The elevator only comfortably fits around four people, which was inconvenient at busy times, and being charged for extra water bottles was unexpected. I hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience.

The atmosphere around the property is good, and the ground level pool was clean and nice. The executive rooms are huge and pleasant, though the washrooms feel a little cramped despite having a separate shower area. For a 4 star property, the rooftop pool and games area could be better maintained.
