The big terrace had an amazing view and was breezy, great for hanging out late and having a BBQ. The market isn’t far, the pool and house were clean, and the caretaker was very helpful. The place is fantastic and peaceful. Just get the kitchen sink fixed: I didn’t know it was leaking, and it made a mess. It’s manageable, but doesn’t look good in such a great place.
We went during Holi on 24 March 2024, with 14 people, and had a horrible experience. The pool was very dirty, the house was a mess and broken, and the caretaker was absent. Housekeeping and maintenance were pathetic. The kitchen utensils were filthy, and the bedsheets and towels were very dirty. Please don’t book this villa, and don’t trust the pictures, they’re all false. 😞
The pool was filthy, with a layer of dirt floating on top, and the caretakers were rude. Paint was peeling and the furniture was worn out. The water heaters didn’t work, and the caretakers had locked the bathrooms on the lower floor. A really poor experience. I wouldn’t go there even for free.
Shalimar Villa isn’t maintained at all. The house was unclean, there was no cutlery for food, and the pool was tiny and dirty. Music wasn’t allowed after 10pm. One of my worst experiences.
This was the worst property, unhygienic and covered in fungus everywhere. Don’t trust the pictures. The so-called owner switched off the phone once the money had been transferred. A completely horrific experience.
