The Bark- An Art Hotel

The outdoor dining spot by the restaurant/cafe really stood out, with its hanging plants and art. Our studio faced the open greenland and had an attached balcony, plus another one, so there was plenty of space. It’s a quiet place away from the crowds, the food was decent, and the staff were courteous.

Dinner in the garden gazebo was a highlight. There was a good variety on the menu, and everything we tried tasted great. The Bark Hotel also has a clean, well-kept pool, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived, especially as the place is pet-friendly. Naina and Ash, the resident cats, and a few friendly stray dogs added to the homey feel. The modern, cozy interiors are lovely too. We stayed for Diwali earlier this week and had a wonderful time in Lonavala. It’s a relaxing getaway with a warm atmosphere.

The location is a little out of the way, but still manageable. Inside, the rooms are cozy, the interiors look great, and the pool and garden are clean. Staff were very good, and the indoor games were well kept. One small hope for next time: maybe the cheese for the cheese omelette at complimentary breakfast won’t be charged extra 😆🙊.

I’d admired The Bark from outside for years, so staying there on our Lonavala trip was an easy first choice. The suite looked out toward the pool, and the thoughtful details made everything feel dreamy and picture-worthy. It’s tucked away from busy roads and markets, which made it a calm place to unwind. At the lobby we were offered refreshing Kokum Sherbet, and the food lived up to that first impression. Every meal we ordered, Indian, Italian, or continental, was delicious. The hotel is pet-friendly, and Ash and Naina, the adorable dogs and cats, made it feel homely right away. The inviting lobby, pool table, carrom board, and large library with books from different genres gave us plenty to enjoy. Our room was spotless, the washroom was carefully sanitized, and the pool was pristine. We also liked having dinner and relaxing at the gazebos. The staff were welcoming throughout. Special thanks to housekeeping, who were always a call away and helped with everything from explaining the shower system to setting up cots. The people here made the stay peaceful, heavenly, and memorable. Thank you, The Bark.
