Valvan Village Resort

We felt pressured into a travel plan and treated rudely when we said no. They spent two hours explaining a 2 lacks plan that was supposedly valid till 10 years, with details that seemed nonsensical, impractical and unrealistic. The staff and manager were rude, especially MISS.POOJA TAYDE, whose behaviour changed sharply when we declined. She came across as very rude and inexperienced. First they offered a gift card and said we'd definitely get one gift from four options. We then supposedly won "3 NIGHT & 4 DAYS ACCOMMODATION WORTH 25000" for free, but they asked us to pay 4000/- + GST in advance. This was the worst hotel. I feel they looted customers. Don't waste your hard-earned money here. I'd give the hotel and staff "MINUS (-10) STAR".

We booked 30 rooms for a wedding 11 months in advance, but the service was poor. The bedsheets were torn, and neither the A/C nor the fan worked. They gave a lot of excuses, including, "we don't have staff because of Diwali." It feels like they've had Diwali ever since we booked. My review would be in miuns.

We had a nice stay overall. The rooms were comfortable, the food was a pleasure to eat, and the resort is easy to get to. Staff were keen to please. The one drawback was that the swimming pool wasn't available.

We booked a standard room and were upgraded to Deluxe. We stayed in room 221, which I believe is in the older part of the building. The room was spacious and had a good interior, though the building is old and the wall paint was a bit worn, so don't expect too much. Breakfast had a compact spread but tasted really good. Dinner was excellent and worth the price, with lamb curry, chilli fish, veg marthan, panner and chesse corn fried balls. A Dinner + Breakfast package is a good choice. Overall, it was worth the price.
