Grand Almada Inn by OYO Rooms

The property itself is good, but the staff aren’t. They charged us 400 bucks for an extra person on top of the usual rate, but didn’t provide a mattress or blanket for them. Towels, a blanket and soap only arrived after we called room service. We had to leave early, but our luggage got stuck in the room because the lock wouldn’t open with the key. They had to call a locksmith to open it. I’d give zero stars if I could.

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and good, and the bedsheets and covers were fine. But the whole hotel and the rooms smelled like insects or an old, unused closet. The towel was torn and the rugs were dirty. They should at least use some room freshener. For 1655 rupees, these supplies aren’t acceptable. Oyo should check the place properly.

The only good thing was the location. The room smelled and was awful, nowhere near worth 4000. There was no hot water because the gizer wasn’t working, and being right on the road made it noisy. They initially refused to let my foreign colleague stay, citing a government rule, though actually nothing happened at the airport. With service this bad, the reception staff still asked for chips.

Once again, a bad experience with OYO, and they couldn’t help me. The food was poor, and the staff’s service and behavior were unprofessional. They only accepted cash or payment at check-in. Even though I’d already paid, they wouldn’t allow me to stay and forced me to cancel and rebook directly with them, or go to another hotel.
