OYO 6242 Jalsa Resort

I attended a marriage ceremony here today, and the room service and interior management were better than I expected. The catering, food selection, lighting, and especially the PA music system were all above expectations. The attentive waiters stayed calm and smiling in every situation. I even tried several times to annoy them, but they kept their cool. Every penny spent felt worthwhile. The venue seemed suitable for people of all ages and for gatherings of around 2500 people. I can see it working for family functions, business meetings, exhibitions, or political discussions.

The location worked well for my overnight stop on the way to Delhi, about four kilometres from the Purvanchal Expressway exit. The rooms were large, and the washrooms had plenty of space. Still, upkeep was poor: the bed linen wasn’t very clean, there was no hand-wash in the bathroom, and room service was disappointing. Food was overpriced. Since the property is mainly used for social events and receptions, it doesn’t really feel like a hotel.

The room was nice, but arriving was confusing because the reception area wasn't easy to find. They should make it clearer. Parking for two-wheelers also needs improvement.

The big lawn and the room views were the best parts. The rest was rough: the washroom was very old, with broken fittings that hadn't been replaced, though it was cleaned properly. The toilet seat had gone green from age. There were lots of mosquitoes and bugs, dirty glasses and a water jug, and the blanket was so filthy I didn't use it. The bouncy mattresses gave poor back support and weren't good to sleep on. I'd only suggest this as a last resort for someone traveling alone or on a tight budget.
