The Ecstasy Hotel

There was a marriage function during our stay, so service ran a little late. Still, we had a more than satisfactory visit. The location is really good, and breakfast had a tasty spread.

The hotel was super clean, with staff continually working to keep guests satisfied. Our room was pretty good and had plenty of space. I booked through Agoda, though booking directly is also an option at roughly the same price.

Breakfast was different from what other hotels usually serve each day. The team were all good and ready to help whenever needed. We stayed one night with family and had a really nice time. For anyone travelling with kids, I’d suggest a suite, which can fit around 4-5 guests including children if you use an extra mattress.

Parking was a problem. Aggregator sites say it’s free, but there’s no space inside the property, so guests have to leave their cars outside. That felt inconvenient and unsafe. The room was only okay, and there wasn’t a hand towel in the washroom. There was no ceiling fan either, which made it hard to keep the temperature comfortable. Food was a bigger concern: the khichdi I ordered for my 1-year-old had a piece of steel wire in it. The replacement had no taste. Breakfast the next morning was strange and poor too, especially the idli and sambar. I strongly recommend against booking with breakfast included. After one night, this felt like a below-average hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it to families or anyone wanting a comfortable stay.
