The owner was rude and arrogant, with no sense of customer service. We were quoted one price when booking, then asked for extra money at check-in without a proper reason, even though we had booked through an app. When we wanted to extend, the room rate suddenly jumped to an unreasonable, sky-high amount, leaving us feeling stuck and pressured to pay more. I found the place completely untrustworthy and scam-like. Avoid booking here, and save yourself the stress and financial loss.

We paid for rooms through the Agoda application, but the hotel staff refused to give them to us and never returned our money. We got no response about the booking problem or our concerns, and they wouldn’t listen to our requests. Later in the evening they offered no help with anything we asked. We lost the full amount. Don’t book this guest house, since you may not get the rooms or a refund.

The water was awful, and the blankets smelled like a drain. The so-called owner stopped answering calls after we booked, though he was responsive before the booking. I’ve stayed in lots of places, and this has been the worst by far. There are several places in Madikeri hosted by this same person, so I’d avoid them. Be careful with this stay.

The washroom was terrible, and the water smelled bad and was full of mud. The room wasn’t good either, with dusty, smelly mattresses and blankets. The owner wouldn’t answer calls or any other messages. This was the worst experience of my life.
