Cauvery Suites

The breakfast felt homely, and the rooms were big, clean, and had all the basic facilities we needed. This isn’t a hotel or resort, but it really does feel like staying at home. It’s about a kilometre from the ksrtc bus stop and within 2kms of raja seat, with autos about 200mtrs away. I was unsure when booking, but after staying here, I’d definitely come back on another visit. If you want a homely place in coorg, just book it.

The garden was one of the first things we noticed. It was full of colorful flowers and greenery, and clearly cared for by owners who love gardening. The rooms were clean and spacious, with peaceful nature all around. Our hosts were thoughtful and kind, making sure we were comfortable. They shared local stories and tips for exploring Coorg, and were great to talk to. The freshly made meals, cooked with local ingredients and served with love, were divine. We had a memorable stay at Cauvery Suites in Kodagu (Coorg), and felt at home from the moment we arrived. It was a peaceful homestay with warm hosts, great food, and a lovely view and garden. We left feeling refreshed and grateful, and are already thinking about coming back.

A power cut greeted me at the hotel, and there was no backup. We were without power for more than four hours. After that, the TV still had no connection, there was no remote, and the cable connection wasn’t working properly. The room light also failed, though they switched it on after I complained. There was no hot water early in the morning. The breakfast was very limited too, with only one dish. A thoroughly horrible stay.

I had a pleasant four-day stay. The rooms were large and clean, and the washroom was clean too, with hot water. There was enough parking, the owners were friendly, and breakfast each day felt homemade.
