Coorg Heights

The location is decent, just off the main road and about a 10-15 minute drive from Raja seat. The approach is a steep climb, and staff help carry luggage from the parking area. There are also lots of steep steps and slopes around the property, which would be hard to navigate for anyone with mobility issues. Higher tier rooms have pretty views, but waste bins sit right in front of the super deluxe rooms. The rooms and property are generally clean, and the higher tier rooms and washrooms are on the larger side. Still, the rooms show their age, and the place feels poorly thought out and impersonal. Without mosquito nets in non ac rooms, it's tricky to ventilate without letting bugs in. Our booking included free breakfast and 10% off food and beverages, but at check-in we were told there was no lunch or dinner. Later, they offered a limited set dinner that didn't meet our expectations, so we had to go out. Breakfast was provided as promised, but choices were very limited: idli, untoasted sandwitch, vermecelli chowmein, and boiled eggs. We'd stayed in an airbnb earlier on the same trip, and the overall experience and food there were significantly better. At this pricepoint, we expected a better experience.

The room had a really nice view, and the food was good, including options for Jain guests, which we appreciated. Our stay was decent, but the room wasn't properly cleaned and the bedsheets could have been fresher. Cleanliness needs attention, along with keeping the basic room amenities in good condition.

Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and had plenty of variety, and the location was close to everything while staying quiet and peaceful. We were welcomed warmly by staff who clearly cared about our experience, and check-in was easy. They even surprised us with an upgrade. The room was spotless, nicely designed, and very comfortable. The bed gave me the best sleep I've had in ages, and housekeeping was thorough without getting in the way. The care and attention to detail really set this hotel apart. Outstanding stay, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend for comfort, quality, and great service!

The valley views are lovely, especially during monsoon, and the setting has a peaceful nature feel. Rooms are spacious, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Food is decent, and the location near Madikeri is scenic. Room cleanliness and maintenance need improvement, though. Better housekeeping would make the stay much better. It's still a good place for a relaxing stay in Coorg. 🌿🏔️
