Coorg Vismaya

Our family and relatives enjoyed the stay at Coorg Vismaya. The resort is close to town, surrounded by trees, and the four rooms I booked were spacious and had everything we needed. The food was very good, and they adjusted it to suit my vegetarian requirements. Kiran and his team were helpful and very nice. If you’re planning a Coorg trip, I’d feel comfortable booking here.

The rooms felt new, cozy, and clean during our one-night stay. The AC didn’t cool properly, but the fans were enough for the night, so it wasn’t a major tradeoff. There’s parking for around four or five cars, plus a lift, which was convenient.

The room was cramped once the extra bed, which was placed on the floor, was added, and there was no view. The bed and sheets weren’t clean, and neither was the bathroom. We had booked two rooms for two days, but after seeing the conditions we cut it down to one day. The manager argued with us about that and showed no good manners toward customers. For a family of four, two adults and children aged 11 and 4, we were charged 4000 rupees for a Monday, with no breakfast. We’d already paid a 1500 rupee token when we were told that children over 7 were charged as adults. It turned out far too expensive. The restaurant is there, but food needs to be ordered at least 1.30 hours ahead. I wouldn’t recommend this place for families with kids. We had a pathetic experience.

We were there for two nights with the kids and had a good stay. Our deluxe AC room was clean and had both a king-size and a queen-size bed. The service staff were very polite, and breakfast was fine. It’s close to the centre of medikere, so I’d recommend it.
