Lunch service was poor, and our order took 30 minutes to arrive at Fort Mercara Restaurant in Coorg. The prawn biryani had no flavor and was completely bland, a waste of money. I also ordered egg masala with rumali roti, and honestly the food was very disappointing. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

The place felt badly managed and wasn't worth the money. The staff were rude, slow to respond, and seemed not to care about customers. The food was awful too, with dry, bad-tasting roti and disappointing quality overall. I definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

We had to cancel our planned activities because the wait for hot water disrupted the trip. After hours, it was finally brought in a bucket at 9 AM, which was unacceptable. We also didn't get the complimentary breakfast promised in the Goibibo booking, reportedly because the vessels were empty and no one was available to help. The staff blamed a short circuit for the hot water issue, but that excuse wasn't convincing. This was a disappointing stay at The Fort Mercara hotel despite paying a huge amount. Cleanliness, service, amenities, and value for money all get 1/5 from me. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the lack of basic amenities. Avoid staying here if you're unwilling to compromise on those or on service. Goibibo should make sure properties on its platform deliver what they promise.

The location is great, and the food has always been good. They often seem short staffed and rush to get things done, yet service is delayed.

The pork was especially bad, like half-boiled meat, and the food overall was very bad. Please don't eat here. I don't know anything about the rooms, this review is only about the food.
