Sterling Brookstone Coorg

Deep inside a Coorg coffee estate, the property feels secluded and peaceful, surrounded by nature. The clean, well kept rooms met Sterling Standards, and the inn house restaurant served good food. Staff were kind and helpful. The clubhouse and its indoor games were operating, as was the well maintained swimming pool, but the outdoor amenities and games were unavailable during our visit. Getting there in your own vehicle can be a hassle because parking is limited. It could get crowded on long weekends or in peak season.

The staff were hospitable, and the food was decent. I wanted to share a couple of things that could improve the stay. Our room was small and next to reception and the cleaning area, so there was a lot of noise and people moving around. Guest rooms in busy areas like that should be avoided if possible. There was usually no coordinator in the activity area, which meant children often couldn't use the indoor games.

At night, sitting outside the restaurant with hot tea or coffee as darkness settled was a lovely moment. The calming forest and pleasant weather also made the stay comfortable. Chef Swosti's Coorgi pork is a must try. The coffee plantation setting was scenic, especially along the road in daylight, but the nearly 2 KM stretch from NH275 needs a proper road. The parking area should be concreted, rooms felt small for a tariff of 11 K/night, there was no mini fridge in the room, and the property should have an operational bar. The chefs Swosti, Binod, and Rakesh made lovely meals. Bijoy, Sameer, Gautam, and Himanshu made restaurant service comfortable, and special thanks to Sameer for looking after us. Ms. Dawa greeted us well at reception. The staff and ambience made for a comfortable stay.

The road to Sterling Brookstone Coorg needs improvement. Once there, though, we had a great stay, with good rooms, service, and hospitality from the staff. The restaurant food was excellent, and most dishes were tasty. Manager Ankit and support staff Gautam and Sameer arranged food to suit our needs and looked after us well. The reception team and the rest of the staff took special care of us. Thanks to Team Sterling for hosting us.
