10/10
Hotel Germanus made for a comfortable, enjoyable stay in Madurai. It’s conveniently located near major attractions and transport, so getting around was easy. The rooftop pool was a nice place to relax and take in the view. We also enjoyed the restaurant, particularly the South Indian food, and breakfast had a good selection of fresh, tasty dishes. Our room was spacious, tidy, and had the amenities we needed. The whole hotel was clean and well maintained, and the staff were polite, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. I’d happily stay at Hotel Germanus again on my next visit.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. The rooms were large and clean, with big double-glazed windows. The air conditioning was quiet.

The restaurant and its wide variety of well-prepared food were a real highlight. Reception handled everything efficiently and courteously. Germunus Hotel has a lavish, premium feel that makes an impression as soon as you arrive. Some of the furniture is a little old, but it was still a fantastic stay, and I’d recommend it.

The room was neat and really clean, and the stay itself was good. The food was a letdown, especially at the Sidewalk restaurant, which was very bad. The other restaurant was only okay, and they even served expired bread at the buffet breakfast. Don’t take food here.

At this price, I expected much better. There wasn’t a single diner in the restaurant on Saturday night, and they don’t serve South Indian food for dinner. They wouldn’t even provide plates to take dinner. There was no hand wash in the restaurant, so we had to go to reception to wash our hands. Very poor experience, please avoid staying.
