On 24 March I booked two rooms for my family for that same day and arrived at 5 o'clock. Receptionist Mr. Hussain was harsh and disrespectful, with no courtesy or professionalism. First he demanded an extra 420 INR, saying that was today's price. I couldn't understand how the price had gone up in a few hours. Even after I paid, there were no rooms available. We waited 45 minutes and only got keys after other guests checked out. If this is how they treat people before the stay, I can only imagine what the service inside is like. I strongly advise others, especially families, to stay away.

We showed up at midnight after a long journey with my wife and infant, but the staff wouldn't check us in, despite our confirmed, prepaid Agoda booking. They said there was a “difference in tariff” and demanded more money on the spot. They refused to let us into the room we'd already paid for until we paid the extra. Stranded in the middle of the night with a baby, we felt our safety wasn't considered at all. Staff showed no empathy or professionalism and chose to haggle over a price issue that could have waited until morning. Pros: none. Cons: unprofessional staff, predatory pricing, and no regard for guest safety. Avoid, especially with family.

We arrived at about 11 a.m. and were told there was no room yet, that check-in was at noon, and to come back then. We had lunch and returned at 1 p.m. The manager then asked for another Rs. 273, saying there was an issue with Agoda. We refused, and he was rude, telling us to cancel and leave, saying it was his property. We came with two kids, and the whole thing caused a lot of trouble. They harass you over a small amount like 273, hoping you'll just pay. If Agoda was a problem, they had our details and should have contacted us before we arrived. I suggest not going there. They take money from people with online bookings, and I think they're frauds. Don't go.

Before we'd even checked in, receptionist Mr. Hussain spoke in an extremely rude, harsh, and disrespectful way. There was no courtesy or professionalism. They also seem to use the name “Gopuram Residency” to mislead customers and then ask for extra money. That's dishonest and unacceptable. If this is how guests are treated before they stay, it makes me wonder what the service inside is like. I strongly advise people to stay away.
