OYO 1637 Hotel Star Residency

We had enough mineral water bottles in the room, and the city view from the window was awesome. The buffet breakfast was very good too. We stayed for two days, and the room looked good for the price. We booked for three people: it had two beds, and they brought an extra one when we asked. The room was clean and decent, though the beds were small for an adult to sleep comfortably. WiFi was poor, but we didn’t complain since our phones had good 4G. Overall, a good experience.

Breakfast was complimentary, and the staff were friendly. Our rooms were clean and nice, making this a pleasant family stay. It’s within 2 km of the famous Madurai Meenakshi temple. They gave us a WiFi username and password, but the connection didn’t work because of server issues. Still, it was a nice experience and I’d recommend it.

The hotel is easy to get to and near aravind eye hospital. The rooms are big and nicely maintained, and for the price they’re good value. Food at their restaurants was toooo delicious. I’d especially recommend Cettinad chicken and ghee rice. I booked using OYO and got nice complimentary toiletries, along with complimentary breakfast.

We were visiting a temple and had planned to check out at 6am, so we asked for packed food instead of the complimentary buffet breakfast. They obliged, and the food tasted great and came in clean packaging. The staff were helpful and had a great attitude. This business class hotel also has good, clean rooms and great amenities. I’d definitely recommend it for a great stay.
