The basic utilities worked, including the lights, fans, AC and hot water, but almost everything else made this a dreadful stay. Our room was dirty and smelly, with cockroaches, ticks and perhaps rats. We heard odd noises at night and felt unsafe. The bedding was filthy and the mattresses had broken springs; the drinking filter gave salty water, and neither Wi-Fi nor TV worked. There was no breakfast despite the listing, no parking except a narrow roadside, and nobody helped carry our bags up to the fifth floor. We arrived at 10 PM with my family after a last-minute booking in Madurai through Goibibo. It was prepaid and non-refundable. The manager refused check-in, saying the hotel hadn't received payment. Goibibo and Treebo customer care tried to contact him, but he wouldn't cooperate and rudely told me to cancel and pay the higher rate directly. The staff were unprofessional and unhelpful throughout. This was easily the worst hotel experience I've had through Goibibo. Stay away, especially if you're visiting Madurai's temples.

The food service was poor too: the food was low quality, left uncovered, and arrived very late. Hygiene and maintenance were also below standard. At the front desk, staff seemed uninterested, gave little useful information, and didn't apologize for their mistakes. The manager was very rude. I wouldn't choose this hotel if you want a comfortable stay.

We arrived after traveling around in the summer with all our luggage, only to be told the hotel was full. Our prepaid rooms had been cancelled by the hotel while we were on the way. At reception, someone scolded my parents in Tamil, apparently thinking we couldn't understand. Don't trust the pictures. Based on my past experience, this place is a trap with pathetic service. Book here if you want to ruin your trip.

The room itself was spacious, but the stay wasn't worth it. There was no proper parking: we had to risk leaving the car on the roadside or use a basement with no proper security. No one helped with our luggage, and the hotel is on the fifth floor. There's no restaurant, and there was no hot water, so I had to use another vacant room to bathe. Breakfast wasn't great either, and felt like something served in a hospital.
