Villa C gave us a great valley view, including sunrise from the bedroom to the left after the stairs. Bhatia Villas has six villas across a huge property, 1.7 km from Panchgani market and about 7 km from Mapro Gardens. It’s easy to find thanks to the signs outside the entrance, and there’s plenty of parking. Our large villa could fit 10 or more people. Downstairs were an outdoor seating area with about eight chairs, a living room with two sofa beds and a TV, a furnished kitchen, and a master bedroom. The kitchen had a fridge, gas stove, water purifier, and microwave, plus a dining table. Upstairs were another living room with two sofa beds and two master bedrooms, each with a small balcony, as was the common area. The bedrooms had queen beds, wardrobes, AC, and washrooms, but the washrooms were cramped and the geyser took a while to heat up. The property was well maintained, with a garden full of trees and plants and a separate kids’ area with a few rides. There’s something for different ages. On chilly nights, you can have a bonfire arranged, but you need to bring your own dark rum. Bhatia Restaurant serves only pure vegetarian food. I’d skip it and order from outside, since there are lots of nearby delivery options. The restaurant and timely service could use some work. Still, the view and value make this a compelling option, especially for a larger group.
