Hotel Sona Palace

The contact information is hopeless. Please give the correct number, and I hope the hotel photos are real. Don’t book a place that lists the wrong number. Imagine arriving to check in at midnight, unable to reach anyone. You call to find out where to go, get directed to Hotel Radhika, then learn your room isn’t booked there. The agent or travel portal may have cheated you and not paid for the booking. This hotel may be good, but I’ll say it again: never book a room at a hotel with wrong information.

Only the cleanliness was good. The photos give a misleading impression, and service was very poor. You have to request every little thing and then wait, and breakfast comes from a street stall. I wouldn’t pay over 1200 Rs for one room for two guests.

It’s a decent, nice hotel at a reasonable rate in the main market area. The blankets were all brand new, but the washroom needs better cleaning and an upgrade.

A bad place with nowhere to relax. We brought meat and asked them to cook it, but most of it was eaten inside, and some was packed up and given to their friends. We were left with curry containing very little meat. This happened three times, across two lunches and one dinner. We’d also stored cheese cubes and other things in the fridge in their kitchen, and the people working there took those too.
