We booked a family room for two nights, room 405, at 9k per night. I don't know if all the rooms are like this or if we were unlucky, but ours needs renovation. The plug points didn't work, the curtains were torn and looked unwashed for years, and the bed linen wasn't up to standard. The owner needs to invest in bringing the rooms up to scratch. The staff were very courteous, both housekeeping and restaurant service. The food was good and came quickly, but the prices were high. There are several restaurants within 200 mtrs, so outside options may suit you better if you're watching your budget. The resort has direct beach access from 5am to 8pm, with paid surfing classes on the beach. Shore Temple and Krishna butter ball are within walking distance. Crocodile park is around 8km away, about a 20-minute trip. Parking for four-wheelers is available and spacious.

The property is in a good spot for getting into town and visiting sights, with good parking, beach access, and a resort-like setting. But the rooms are old and badly need maintenance. The phone didn't work, so we couldn't call room service for water. The AC remote only switched it on and off, with no temperature control. There was no hot water from the tap. Reception told us to leave the tap running until two buckets filled, then call the number, but a technician didn't come until the next morning. The problem continued, and there was still no room service.

The rates are unreasonably high for such an old, poorly maintained property. Service was poor and the staff didn't seem professional. The food was average. There was no room service or room amenities, not even a refrigerator, and no hot water in the bath. The soap and other supplies were poor quality.

My wife and I only ate at the restaurant; we didn't stay at the resort. That same night we got severe food poisoning, vomiting two or three times, and had to be hospitalized with vomiting and diarrhea. Our whole trip was ruined. I give the restaurant zero stars and would never eat there again. Please take this review seriously before booking the hotel.

The toilet cleaning wasn't satisfactory, and all the cots were single size, which was inconvenient. Room cleaning was okay. Otherwise, it was good.
