Izi Beach Stay

We booked three rooms at 2500 each and paid 1000 per room in advance, 3000 altogether. When we arrived, there were insects everywhere, including mosquitoes and cockroaches. The caretaker had sprayed Hit just before we got there, and the room smelled very strong at that moment. They gave us one ground-floor room closed in on all sides with a back entrance, and two first-floor rooms with very limited balcony views and a bad smell throughout. Our families didn't want to check in, so we didn't take the rooms. When we called the mobile number of the person we'd first contacted, he said the 3000 was non-refundable. It was a terrible experience at IZI BEACH STAY.

Even small requests weren't handled well: they refused an extra towel, and there were no toothbrushes or toothpaste. There was no proper receptionist, the food menu was very limited, and we found cockroaches in the room. We stayed at IZI, Mahabalipuram. With just four rooms, the property felt isolated, and I wouldn't consider it suitable for a family stay.

For the price, this place was far too expensive and not worth the money. It's near the beach, though the location feels somewhat remote. The building is tiny, with about two rooms on each floor, and there were lots of small cockroaches in our room, which was unpleasant. First-floor rooms are a little better, with a balcony, swing, and chairs, but a seafood restaurant partly blocks the sea view.

The beach is only about 20 steps away, and the room's location and surroundings were really nice. The room had all the things we needed, but basic upkeep was lacking. The water supply wasn't reliable, the mattress didn't suit the place, and the bedspread and sheet hadn't been washed properly. One room's AC also wasn't working properly. It felt safe for a family, but basic maintenance needs a lot of attention.
