Theertha International Hotel

The hotel is in a good location, but the staff’s behaviour and the check-in service were very disappointing. I had a confirmed, prepaid booking through MakeMyTrip at Theertha International in Mahe, yet the staff first refused to give us the room and spoke rudely. During the discussion, someone even made disrespectful remarks about my father, which upset me a lot. Because the booking was already paid for and legally confirmed through MakeMyTrip, they should have given us the room without a problem. I had to contact the police before they finally let us check in. I hope management improves how guests are handled so others don’t go through the same thing.

Food was excellent, and they brought it right to our room. We could see the Mahe Basilica Church from the room window, which was lovely. I’d been looking for a good place near the church, and this one was clean, well maintained, and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were very helpful. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The restaurant meals and breakfast weren’t very satisfying, so the food could use some improvement. Still, Theertha International is a good option in Mahe town. It’s conveniently located, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Good location and service overall.

We held our college reunion here recently, and it turned out to be a wonderful venue. The staff were supportive, especially Sreehari. Everything went fine.
