The biggest problem was the lack of service at night. Between 10 PM and 7 AM, you can’t get even hot milk or tea, which was especially disappointing when the kids wanted something warm. Food choices are limited too, with no tandoor or mushroom dishes, and everything has to be ordered in advance. There’s also a limited staff, which caused issues during our stay. The setting is lovely after dark, with Maheshwar’s lights shining across the Narmada River, and the resort sits right on the riverbank. Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was included, though this isn’t high-end luxury. The staff we met were polite and friendly. Getting to the main town, Ahilyabai Holkar’s palace, and the ghats is awkward. They’re only about 800 meters away by boat, but the road route is a 25 km detour. There are no other hotels nearby if you need something. And despite “Spa” in the name, there’s no spa facility, which feels misleading. It might suit you if you want quiet and nature, but the food, nighttime basics, and service fell short of what we expected.

A great place to unwind away from the rush of fast-moving cities. The open-air deck seating is ideal for looking out at maa narmada, the life line of madhya pradesh, and every cottage has an amazing view. The people, hospitality, and service were wonderful, and the food felt authentic. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. 😌

The rooms are very spacious, with a huge balcony looking out over the river and Maheshwar town, plus a small private pool. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and I really enjoyed the delicious dinners and my stay overall. Just be aware that although the town is only 1km away, getting there takes 45 minutes because there are no nearby bridges. It wasn't an issue for me, but good to know. I’d highly recommend it.

If all you want is to relax in Maheshwar, this place could work. But the long detour from the original Maheshwar fort is inconvenient. The hotel has a boat service, though it runs at restricted times and wasn't useful for us. Food is expensive, and breakfast came with an unwelcome surprise: a cockroach. Maybe the poha had been sitting for a while. I've added photos. Given the price and service, I’d suggest avoiding a booking here. Thanks 👍

Everything was very good during our visit, when the hotel had very few guests and the service was excellent. I hope they can keep up the same quality when tourists start coming in large numbers.
