The rooms open straight onto the pool, which was a downside because everything got very wet. If they supplied at least three floor towels per room, this would be my first choice among resorts near chennai. It's a lovely, peaceful place with a very clean swimming pool, lots of game spaces, and a safe setup for families and kids. The play rooms were good, though we got very sweaty because the AC in the table tennis room wasn't working when we visited. Staff were friendly, and the vegetarian-only food was tasty with a good variety.

The pool is only about 3 or 3.5 ft deep, so even an 8-year-old can swim safely, and the water is well maintained. Village retreat has a pool connected to all the rooms, a huge play area, and only vegetarian food, with no alcohol, which I really appreciate. It was a lovely stay and seems suitable for families and even office get-togethers.

The resort was neat and well looked after, and the team provided excellent service. Its pool can be reached through the rooms, which is a big advantage for ladies. The buffet is 100% pure vegetarian and tasted really good. Friends and families can both have a happy, satisfying stay here. We spent a weekend night there. It's a bit of a drive from Chennai, but if you enjoy long drives, you'll like it. I recommend the resort.

The approach road from the main road needs attention. The resort itself was clean and well maintained, with friendly staff, a good clean kids' play area, and a well-kept pool. We had a good time with family last week. The food was excellent, fresh, and prepared hygienically.

The resort doesn't have a kitchen, but food is delivered from a nearby hotel. During the pandemic, government restrictions meant the pool and adventure games weren't available, yet the location itself kept both adults and kids entertained. The rooms are designed really well, service was amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Village retreat is worth visiting just for its location: it takes you from polluted surroundings into a completely different, green world. The whole concept feels peaceful, serene, enjoyable, and fresh.
