They served us morning tea and helped arrange a rickshaw, share local routes, and provide a car with a responsible driver. Both drivers were humble with our family. When we arrived at midnight, Nitish homestay had waited for us at the corner to guide us to the hotel. They were good hosts and good people, and gave us a clean room with clean bedsheets, a tidy washroom, hot bath water, two fans, electricity around the clock, and all the facilities we needed. A recommendable homestay with reasonable rates.

For the low price, the room was really great and quiet, and the owner was very nice. The hostel is right in central Malvan, with the beach and bus stop both a 10-minute walk away. There isn't a common room, which makes it hard to meet other travelers.

The location is comfortable for seeing Malvan, and you can even see Sindhudurg fort and the sea from here. It's in the centre of the city, with everything close enough that we didn't need a vehicle. Food joints are nearby, the market is a five-minute walk, and laundry is available on request. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the service is good, and the price is reasonable. Good value for sightseeing around Malvan.

Nitish Karmarkar seemed unresponsive, and we had to ask repeatedly even for water. There was no room service, and the bathroom had no basin mirror for shaving. The owner called to say he wasn't linked with GoIbibo and refused to accept the booking, so after a long discussion I started getting a full refund. We communicated with the owner and GoStupidBo, then got the full refund from GoStudpidBoBo. That also helped us find a room for 600/- instead of the 500/- promised by stupidGoIbiBo. The place is centrally located, and the trip itself was great, but these earlier hassles could have been avoided. I don't recommend Nitish Home Stay.

The rooms were well maintained and affordable. The caretaker was humble and cooperative, and gave us extra time at checkout when we asked.
